Since director Paul Thomas has had so many fresh successes (Brat Girl, Sleeping Beauty Aroused), I can forgive him and occasional clunker. In Snatched, Byron and Silvera play somewhat incompetent detective brothers hired by Sasha to fin some cash. But due to a truly confusing script, an even greater quantity due to loud, background music playing over key dialog, exact details of the plot are lost to me, as probably is some of the typical Thomas humor. That’s likewise bad. Because with the evident departure of Damon Christian, Thomas is presently the superlatively good director of sexually explicit comedy. The act scenes are all ok, but the Nina DePonca/North/Aja three-some is an erotic standout. A disappointing entry from people who have done much more excellent.
